An early start today with Niccolo leading the way….drive to Castel Franco, train to Venezia. Oh My!
Venice is more beautiful than anyone can tell you. More romantic and lovely, more picturesque and amazing…Venice is everything they say and more. The Gondola was a must do and we were lucky to be behind a great tenor and accordian player to serenade us….Bellissimo!!! Niccolo’s leisurely tour of winding streets and incredible views led to San Marco Piazza – WOW! So incredible! Breathtaking. Great shops and artisans with murano glass, handmade lace, masks, and great prints. Great shopping and so much to see…Venice is an enchanting place – a photo op at every turn in the winding roads!

So, we went home….expecting to pack and have a light supper…knowing some family may come to say good bye. Well, our night didn’t go as we planned…much better! As the family arrived, and as the first rain of our trip came, we cozied into the kitchen and with Matt as our musical troubadour, we continued to play charades, laugh and say our good byes.   Into the wee hours of the night, our long goodbyes, gift exchanges, and promises of visits made the day complete.
Loria you have made us so welcome, and we will be so glad to see you and your lovely, lovely people again.
